Val d'Isere, France is easily one of the top three ski resorts in the world! The village is beautiful and exudes alpine charm that you can only find in Europe. There is great skiing for all levels and the ski area is huge (3x larger than anywhere in North America!). It is one of Europe's highest ski resorts so great snow is virtually guaranteed. The apres ski (happy hour) and nightlife totally rock. Val d'Isere is well known as one of Europe's top party ski villages. With more than 30 bars and nightclubs this ski village knows how to party.

In the mid-afternoon this village begins to jump! apres ski (happy hour) starts at 3:30pm on the mountain at the famous La Folie Douce where dancing in your ski boots is almost required
(check out the video for La Folie Douce The fun continues on through the wee hours of the morning down in the village. You will find fun everywhere and party with people from all over the world! For those that prefer a more laid back experience then rest assured there are plenty of wine bars, cappuccino houses, and spas that will suit your taste.

The skiing is amazingly convenient. The lifts are just 100 yards from our hotel. Lift lines simply don't exist! The ski area offers something for every level of skier. It has many tantalizing runs that descend some 400 km on-and off-trail. Don't be intimidated if you are a less experienced skier: be excited to know that this vast ski area offers a ton of beginner and intermediate skiing just outside your door! If you want to improve your skiing then take lessons or hire a world-class guide who speaks fluent English. If you are an experienced skier then no doubt you will find the run you have been looking for here. There are simply more runs than you can ski in one week.

Annecy, France Day Trip

You will have the opportunity to rest your ski legs and spend the day touring beautiful Annecy, France! It is known as the Venice of the Alps because of the canals that run throughout the city. It is rich in both history and culture that dates back hundreds of years. Stunning medieval architecture, picturesque mountain surroundings and cobblestoned streets are just some of the alluring attributes that Annecy has to offer. Be sure to take a break for a delicious French lunch and a cappuccino!

We are staying at the Hotel La Galise, which has been owned and operated by the same family for almost a century! It is a very charming located in an amazing location.La Galise is located just fifty yards from the ski lifts and the center of town where all of the nightlife occurs. There is no better located hotel in town!

The Rooms

The rooms offer a high standard and four star comfort in a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Comfortable rooms are furnished in traditional European Alpine style. All rooms are equipped with bath or shower, toilet, safe, cable tv, telephone, radio and most have a balcony. The views from the rooms in the hotel are astoundingly beautiful. You will wake up in the morning to enjoy the vistas of the French Alps!

Gourmet Dinners!

Each morning, the hotel's kitchen will serve you a hearty skiers buffet breakfast, and a well deserved four-course dinner that will more than satisfy you after a long day of skiing! We will be eating dinners at Grand Ourse Restaurant, which is next door to our hotel. Grande Ourse is widely considered Val d'Isere's finest restaurant for food and atmosphere! Bon apetit!
